Gehan homes contacted the right person and resolved this the same day infact within 2 hours we went on site met the construction head and he agreed to make the porch by railings all over. This was so positive and timely help...
saved our dream and big day !! I am so thankful i chose GEHAN HOMES....they are best choice

We are closing tomorrow 11/30/17 at 2705 Hudson lane,Leander -texas 78641. Last day builder finishes his task with all mess and is so cool saying it’s okay if you don’t want to buy this house now.
Blames most of things to natural or codes. Our patio deck is 26.5” in height. He made 3 stairs instead of 4 just to avoid the guardrails and handrails. The first two steps are 6” and last one is 12”.
On asking why he says code. The code says no stairs can be uneven and above 30” we needs handrails and guard rails so for 3.5” he s fine putting our life in danger. Also backyard is place for kids and fun , I have one kid 5 year old and one just one year old and parents in their 70s. So this means the family can’t hangout in backyard as it’s dangerous and I can never let kids go out and play in patio or backyard.
Is this what we buy home for? Also on showing concern over closing the builder says it’s okay if u don’t want to buy. What a attitude. He didn’t do his work on time , didn’t have all this ready for third party inspection too and last day talks like this.
Also when we showed him our neighbor patio much lower than ours having rails the builder says he’s lucky and when we asked him we feel unfair , builder says just because others have it doesn’t mean u can? Why haven’t we paid all money? I request somebody to intervene and help us. I can also share the third party inspection report of 26 pages for your to Better understand the quality.
We love our home except for this scary patio deck..
